THE CHALLENGE 

To remain competitive and to respond to a growing customer demand for simplicity, our client, a Fortune 500 financial services company, sought to refresh their current retirement product line-up. Their goal was to package their complementary income-generating products into a versatile and comprehensive new, single product that would attract and retain customers, exceed customer expectations, and differentiate from competitors. 

  

THE SOLUTION 

To help inform the design of their new product, UPTICK applied our proprietary Product Design Insights (PDI) development process. The PDI delivers relevant environmental inputs and strategic direction by synthesizing information gathered from market and industry trends, competitive analysis, customer research, and internal interviews. 


THE RESULTS 

The Product Design Insights Report was used by the company to make significant changes to their retirement product line-up. By leaning into their core strengths, they found a clear path for a forward-thinking solution that better aligns with their customers’ evolving needs. 

The company also addressed specific issues the research uncovered that impacted products in their existing line-up to improve the customer experience and further support retention.
